The project was focussed on the theme of ‘Cure’. With the help of our product we aim to cure the sadness arising from missing home or past experiences. The sense of smell is physiologically most efficient in evoking memeories because of the location of the olfactory cortex in the brain. We found an experimental technology developed by Tokyo Institue of Technology which gives us the ability to record and play back smells. This device works on the same principle as a CMYK printer, it uses a palette of 18 basic smells to compose any smell in the world. The recipe of creating a smell can be recorded digitally.
